| Here's what I'm trying to do: simply measure the resistance of my amp's ground wire. I have read some pretty good writeups on some of the car forums, but I am still missing that one very minor piece of info that I need before taking the measurements. In short, the writeups suggest that I get my multimeter in the 200 Ohm setting. Touch the probes together. Next, disconnect the NEGATIVE battery terminal, followed by disconnecting the amp's negative wire. Pretty clear except I'm not sure of exactly what I do with the probes. Do I use one probe as a ground to chassis, and the other to the amp wire? If anyone out there has first hand experience measuring wire resistance, I would greatly appreciate clarification on this issue. Thanks in advance for your time.
